Legal Ramifications

MDMA is illegal in every country on planet Earth. This is due to a UN ban on the drug.

Why is it illegal? This is unknown. The drug is safe, non-addictive, and does not produce violent tendencies in its users. (Compare this to alcohol, a legal drug, which kills tens of thousands of people each year.) The only answer is the taboo that exists in our society against using perception-altering substances.

It is inevitable that MDMA, like most currently illegal drugs, will be legalized within the next few decades. It's only a question of how much money we will spend and how many lives we will destroy or end before we, as a society, reach that point.

Do you love rolling? Do you want to see the world's, and especially the United States', crusade against MDMA to end? Take the time to get in touch with your local activist group, and especially your government. If you live in the United States, write to your representative or senator, give them a phone call, or send them an email and let them know how you feel. It only takes a few minutes of your time, and it does make a difference. More about legalization/decriminialization activism can be found at the Lindesmith Center.

Please see the links page for links to some groups that are trying to change the attitude of our society and the policies of our governments towards MDMA.
